Our
next Responsible Sports Community Grant Period Re-Opens May 19th!
Your opportunity to
earn $2,500 for your youth sports organization is just around the corner! From
equipment upgrades and facility repairs to scholarship programs for families in
need of assistance, the $100,000 Liberty
Mutual has awarded to date has improved the lives of many youth athletes and
families. And you can join the
excitement, while learning how to teach valuable lessons and enrich the lives
of players through positive role modeling.
How to Participate
Rally as many parents, coaches, and administrators as
possible to participate in the self-paced Responsible
Sports Parenting or Responsible
Coaching coursework. Then, pass a 10-question review quiz to receive
and credit your certification. Beginning May 19th, when the first 2008 Community Grant period begins, you can credit your
certification to your organization to get one step closer to the $2,500 for
your organization.
Who Can Earn $2,500
Any youth sports organization can earn a Responsible Sports Community Grant, but an organization can only
receive a grant once.
Twenty organizations with
the most credited certifications will earn a $2,500 Responsible Sports
Community Grant to help defray the many costs of running a successful youth
sports organization. But don't think that just because you are a small
organization you cannot win. Organizations are split into two groups – greater than or less than 400 players. The grants will be awarded to the top ten
organizations in the large and small groups.
Timing
Parents and coaches can participate in the Responsible
Coaching/Parenting coursework at any time. However, organizations can only be
credited during the active grant periods. Two community grant periods happen
each year. The first 2008 Community Grant period starts May 19th, so check back then for
more information!
Past Participants
Did you know? If you became a
certified Responsible Sports Parent or Coach in fall 2007, your certification
is still valid for this upcoming Community Grant period! So,
encourage members of your organization to join the Responsible Sports community
today.
Be sure to tell
your administrator to return to ResponsibleSports.com
when the Community Grant period reopens May 19th to register your youth
sports organization to be qualified to win one of the Grants. Follow
