Top 10 Moments Overview
Liberty Mutual Insurance champions responsibility in youth sports. We applaud acts of sportsmanship, selflessness, integrity, fairness, and honesty from youth sports fields, rinks, courts mats, and pools from around the country. In an age where negative news dominates the headlines, Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks to celebrate acts of responsibility that we know happen every day.Each month, our team scours local newspapers and hears directly from community members about Responsible Sports moments in your community. We then ask you – our fans – to vote for your favorite Moment of the Month.
At the end of the year, a panel of sports experts -- including PCA Founder and Executive Director Jim Thompson, Executive Directors from leading youth sports organizations like USA Hockey, USA Softball, USA Volleyball, USA Water Polo and USA Wrestling, as well as former and current Olympic greats review all the moments from the year and vote to determine the Top 10 Responsible Sports Moments of 2013. The deciding vote is yours for which Moment is crowned the Top Moment of the Year.
Our Top 10 Responsible Sports Moments of 2013 each earn their youth sport organization a $1,000 honorarium, with our Top Moment of the Year winner also earning recognition in the annual National Youth Sports Awards and an extra $1,000 honorarium for their youth sport organization.
